Happy Monday friends! Last week was filled with delicious food, fun times with friends and lots of festivities. As we’re approaching Christmas I’ve been getting so excited to get into the spirit and last week was the perfect way to kick it off!
Here were my favorite parts:
Tuesdates!
Every (well, most of them anyway) Tuesday my cousin Olivia and I have something we call “Tuesdates” where we basically just hang out. We’re very close but we realized awhile back that we weren’t spending very much time together despite living so close by, and Tuesdates were born.
Occasionally we’ll spend a Tuesdate out and make a reservation somewhere but most of the time we like to keep things low key and will either order in or make dinner at home. This past Tuesdate I had her over for dinner and made that delicious Limone recipe I talk about here.
Then we sat down and watched the WORST cheesy Christmas movie on Netflix, A Knight Before Christmas. Olivia is a fan of the podcast Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino and he started a new podcast for the holidays called “A Very Merry Iconic Podcast” where he reviews made for tv holiday movies. It’s pretty great! Check it out here.
He was reviewing A Knight Before Christmas so we watched it and it is everything it promises to be. Insanely stupid and cheesy but ultimately entertaining. It’s on Netflix if you want to cozy up with some hot chocolate and watch something mindless!
Leggings But Elevated
My favorite outfit was this comfy but in my opinion, very chic, look I created around some stretchy black leggings. I am firmly in the “leggings are not pants” camp but I desperately wanted to be cozy in this gloomy weather so on they went.
I styled them with a long golden yellow tunic, a black circle belt, and my leopard print booties. Overall I really liked it! The belt gave the tunic some shape and the booties kept the legging from looking overly casual and pj-esque.

Honey Mama’s Honey Cocoa Bar
I have officially found the best thing you can buy at Trader Joe’s. I had been seeing these bars on Instagram for a while (anyone else follow @traderjoeslist?) but could never find them. That’s because I’m a dummy and was looking in the bar section when these bars are actually refrigerated. I found them next to the Perfect Bars in the pre-made refrigerated meal section and my life will never be the same.
I got the nib & coffee and the truffle flavors and you guys, they are insane. The nibs & coffee was my favorite because it was slightly salty and so chocolatey and just divine. They have super clean ingredients, including coconut oil and honey which just makes them melt in your mouth. They taste like a candy bar without all of the junk. They’re perfect for a mid-day sweet snack or dessert.
Pick these up (I’m literally going to buy 10) at Trader Joe’s and thank me later!
My Hydroflask
I try to drink as much water as I can and have several water bottles but recently was gifted the Hyrdroflask for my birthday and I’ll never go back!
It has a “vacuum insultation” so it truly does keep your water cold for 24 hours. I have been using it every day and prefer to just wash it and keep using it instead of rotating through my other now, obsolete, water bottles.
Plus they’re very sleek! I find that cute water bottles are like cute workout clothes, they give you the motivation you need to live a healthier life.
They make a great holiday gift! Shop them below:
My Holiday Party!
I had the best time throwing my first holiday party in my new place this weekend! It was so nice to be with my friends and family, drink some wine and eat so many delicious things!
Plus I had a girlfriend in town visiting so it was so fun that she was able to come and that all of us girls got to reunite!
I’ve been loving entertaining lately so while the party was such a good time I also just really enjoyed decorating and getting all of the food ready.
A full blog post will be going live later this week to share all of the details.
