Happy November friends!
We are officially out of spooky season and are entering into mashed potato season! The most delicious season of all. Woo!
This week whirled by with end of the month deadlines and Halloween celebrations. But best of all, ya girl went shopping! I like to do a seasonal shop to get some staples I know I’ll use. I talked a little bit about this in my post about ditching my “statement piece syndrome”.
You can shop some of my new finds and old favorites at the end of the post!
TUESDAY
Monday was the day after my birthday and I am happy to report I woke up hangover free, but still not capable of remembering to take an outfit pic. Whoops!
On Tuesday I desperately needed something cozy to combat the chilly temps so I threw on this cute red cardigan from Nasty Gal. It’s super soft and would be really cute untucked with a couple of the bottom buttons undone as well.
I tucked it into slightly distressed vintage skinny jeans from Express and added my rose gold Adidas and geometric earrings to finish the look.
WEDNESDAY
I loooooove the color yellow so I clicked “add to cart” immediately when I saw this adorable long cardigan. It has heart pom pom detailing and is really thick and warm. I’ll definitely be throwing this over my outfits all season long.
Underneath I wore this fun graphic tee and my favorite girlfriend jeans from Express. They’re like the sweatpants of denim, so comfortable. The Adidas were quickly becoming the shoe of the week!
Wednesday was incredibly mundane, although I did make a wonderful spaghetti squash parmesan that I will be sharing with you all soon!
THURSDAY
I wanted to have a spooky vibe for Halloween so all black was the way to go. I wore this cute graphic skull tee tucked into my high waisted black jeans from Express. I threw on my go-to “alligator” skin black moto with my matching booties. I think the clean hair was the best addition to this look!
For Halloween night I went to the California Academy of Sciences for a spooky NightLife event! I love the academy and their NightLife events are always a fun time but this was on another level. There were scary movies playing, music, a drag show and not to mention all of the cool exhibits.
I read the Harry Potter series for the first time in my life this year so natually I had to make up for my sad childhood by dressing up as HP himself! A little ironic considering I’m a Slytherin, but ya know, what can you do?
I ordered my tie and glasses from Amazon and my gold wand is just a chopstick! If you use a glue gun to swirl glue around it then you have a very legit-looking wand. Add some spray paint and you’re done! I wore this pleated black skirt I used for my Britney Spears costume last year and then tucked in a white button-down. I couldn’t commit to a full Harry look with a wig and robes because I am a basic bitch and didn’t want to look like a teenage boy in front of my date.
FRIDAY
Thankfully I avoided a hangover once again the next morning, but I was still absolutely exhausted so I had to keep it simple with a comfy sweater and jeans.
This oversized camel coat is quickly becoming my favorite purchase for fall (a post coming soon) and was perfect on this chilly morning. And there are those Adidas once again. Why do I always do this with shoes every week?
I have absolutely no idea what tf is on my ear. It’s definitely not an earring? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
