Today was beautiful and warm, the perfect weather to enjoy my day off! Today was definitely a treat yo self day, so I got my nails done, stopped by Sephora (by stopped by I mean spent more than I’m willing to admit) and finally, finally, FINALLY got my hair cut! Woo!
I’m kind of a freak and only really get my hair cut once or twice a year. I know, I know, not what I’m suppose to do at all. But who has the time?? I cut it once it becomes really flat and weighed down. And man, was I at that point. So when I woke up this morning I just knew that today had to be the day. And I feel like a new woman! So light! So airy! It’s alive!
I decided to try a new eye makeup technique that I learned from a Jaclyn Hill tutorial and not only is it super easy, but it is so fierce! I’m obsessed! It’s this dramatic inner corner action that I just cannot get enough of. I used my It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty palette ($42) and one of my Make Up For Ever eyeshadows ($21) to create a really simple neutral eye look and then applied a pop of teal in my water line and used a small angle brush to create that pointed angle.
It was foggy and chilly in the city today but in Marin (where my parents live) it was HOT. Dayum. I was sweating!
So I decided to pair this denim skater skirt from Forever 21 ($13) with my favorite style from Express-the Portofino shirt ($60)! This pretty blue and white pattern is my new fave. I used a black studded belt (old from F21), black sandals (also old) and my black fringe purse to accent the look. Favorite gold jewels to accessorize.
