How is it March already?! Truthfully though, it’s been feeling like summer here in San Francisco (hello global warming, yikes!) so if you told me it was May I would have believed you.
February was such a fun month. I hosted a Galentine’s Day brunch (that was really effing cute if I do say so myself), caught up with a lot of good friends and got some new products I love and am excited to share!
Here is everything I loved most in February:
BOOKS
Normal People by Sally Rooney
Truthfully February was kind of crazy for me so I haven’t actually finished this book but I have really enjoyed it so far (a little over halfway through!) and am excited to hopefully finish it next week now that my schedule has chilled out a bit.
If you’re into coming of age, quirky romance stories then you’ll enjoy this! Two weird teenagers getting weird together as they navigate high school and college. Plus they’re British so, you know, it’s charming af.

FASHION
Express High Waisted Jeans
I scored some new denim during the 40% off President’s Day sale that Express had last month and I love my new jeans!
I only wear Express jeans because they are great quality and are very flattering if you’re on the curvier side. I realize I’m very petite but I actually have pretty thick thighs and the type of ass that knocks sh*t over on the regular so I appreciate a well-fitting pair of jeans.
I don’t care how many Buzzfeed articles are written about how dudes don’t actually like high waisted jeans, I will wear them and them only until the day I die. I hike that sh*t over my belly button and order a second round of fries with confidence.

BEAUTY
Thayers Witch Hazel Facial Toner
I recently did a major upgrade to my skincare routine (post coming soon!) and one of the products in particular that I am loving most is my new witch hazel toner!
Toner is the step after you cleanse and helps keep your pores clear and balances the pH of the skin. Witch hazel helps with soothing inflammation and shrinks pores so I was excited to try this popular and inexpensive option!
It was $9 on amazon for a pretty hefty bottle and my skin has already began to feel smoother and my pores are noticeably smaller. 100% will repurchase.

FOOD
My new favorite salad
The full details on this delightful sally will be in a recipe recap post later this month but let me just say, I’ve had it at least 2-3 times a week over the past month because it is just that good.
My cousin Olivia made it for me (it’s her creation) for dinner one night and I promptly went out and bought all of the ingredients and have been restocking them every week. I am not really a salad person but this one completely hits the spot. It has goat cheese and roasted beets and the best dijon dressing. I’m obsessed!
“The Dip”
If you’re an Alison Roman fan then you know I’m talking about her infamous dip (one of many delicious ones in her cookbook Nothing Fancy) that is, in her words, “almost ranch”.
It’s greek yogurt with lemon and this divine scallion/cilantro/red chili flake oil drizzled on top and it is actually what dreams are made of. I made it for a girl’s night with my cousin and it was addicting. Dip veggies or chips or your bare hands in there and get after it!

It’s girl scout cookie season!
On one beautiful February afternoon, I was on my way to the bank when low and behold the most beautiful sight for the sorest of eyes was posted up outside. That’s right my friends, the girl scout cookies are back and they are better than ever.
I, of course, got Tagalongs because peanut butter spread over a perfectly crisp biscuit and covered in milk chocolate is god’s gift to the earth and you can quote me on that. In fact, I hope you do.
I get people love Thin Mints but honestly, grow up. Put some Tagalongs in the fridge and eat 3 within the span of 30 seconds at 11 pm after you got out of bed to “get some water” then come talk to me.
TV
A throwback: Never Been Kissed
I recently discovered that not only does Disney+ serve up all of the classic childhood movie nostalgia but it also has some seriously good 90’s throwbacks.
If you haven’t seen Drew Berrymore and Michael Vartan (babe of the century) in Never Been Kissed then you truly have not actually lived. Drew Berrymore is a journalist who goes undercover as a high school student for a news story and Michael Vartan is her teacher. Things get real weird but are also incredibly cheesy and delightful so I highlight recommend.
