It’s November and while we still have about two months left to go I have to say that I am confident I recently made my favorite purchase of the year.
I moved into a new place in September and while overall it has been quite the upgrade, the one downside is that it is effing FREEZING in here! I’m currently under my covers, with two throw blankets wrapped around me, wearing my robe over my PJs that have smaller PJs under them.
This house is old and drafty as hell and getting dressed in the morning feels like dipping my body into an ice bath. The only thing that makes it okay is the last thing I put on before I walk out the door.

Now, upon first glance, you might think “this coat looks like any other coat” but alas, you are incorrect. This coat is so delightfully warm and chic. It is the best thing I’ve purchased fashion-wise (maybe even just in general) this year and I will be wearing it and loving it for many a chilly winter to come.
I bought it on Nasty Gal and almost took it out of my cart because I do have a few long winter coats already. But I wanted something in a nice camel color that could go with everything and that also was long enough to hit my ankles (not a difficult thing to do considering I am 5’2 but still).
Since it came in the mail I have worn it pretty much every day, received endless compliments and best of all, been warm af. I love that it’s a bit oversized because I can wear another jacket underneath if I’m really freezing my bunz off. It goes with everything in my closet and makes me feel like a sophisticated french girl sans baguette.
