Last week was pretty low key with the exception of a very busy and very fun weekend. I got to break out some more of my new Nasty Gal pieces I ordered last month and was definitely incorporating more masculine silhouettes. You can shop my looks (mostly similar options) at the bottom of the post!
MONDAY
After a weekend full of car trouble (thanks for nothing Bev) and one too many glasses of wine I needed to revert to one of my easy and well-loved outfit formulas.
I tucked a gray ribbed turtleneck into these super flattering high waisted jeans (they make your butt look like its best self) and threw my favorite simple black moto jacket over it. I accessorized with matching black booties and clean hair!
TUESDAY
Tuesday’s look was definitely my favorite of the week. I am LIVING for this velvet rose blazer and I want to wear it every day of the week. Now, this is a statement piece worth the buy.
To offset the busy-ness of the blazer I wore a white graphic tee underneath and some vintage skinny jeans from Express. Then on went my white and rose gold Adidas and some playful pink pom-pom earrings (alliteration for the win!).
Tuesday evening was a boring but productive one spent finishing up deadlines and folding laundry. I am not an exciting person 🙂
WEDNESDAY
I actually wore makeup this day because I had to shoot photos for a campaign in the morning so I was feeling extra perky. To tie together this look I like to call “putting in the bare minimum of attractiveness” I wore my new teal corduroy button-up over a faded camo tee and high waisted black jeans. Looks like the black booties are quickly becoming the shoe of the week! (Trying to make this a fun thing and not an “I am boring with shoe choices” thing, ya know?)
I woke up at 5 am (as I often do) to do my makeup and catch the sunrise so I could get a sweet shot of this stunning view I have near my house. I live near this gorgeous peak where you can see a great view of the city and at sunrise, it is a 10/10.
Jokes on me, it was foggy af 🙂 cute.
Wednesday evening was a good time though, my sweet friend Ida took me to a belated birthday dinner at this Mexican spot we use to go to in college. I ate my weight in enchiladas and beans and was a happy (and bloated), lady.
THURSDAY
Keeping the teal thing going, on Thursday I tucked in this new, if I’m being honest, slightly itchy turtleneck in distressed girlfriend jeans. Over the look went this cute checkered blazer that always makes me feel like a distinguished gentleman. To tie together the look I wore my leopard print booties to pull out the browns and oranges from the blazer.
Thursday night I blogged while pretending to be interested in Thursday night football with my roommate. Good times.
Moving on!
FRIDAY
You gotta keep things fun on a Friday so to celebrate the end of a very mundane week I threw on this fitted denim jumpsuit that made me feel like a 70’s Charlie’s Angel minus the amazing feathered hair. Jumpsuits are so awesome because they’re one piece and you don’t even need to think about your outfit. They’re also not so awesome because then you’re practically naked every time you pee. You win some you lose some!
I wore some fun geometric black and gold earrings and my black booties to complete the look. The day was boring and in the evening I livened things up by falling asleep at 7:30 while trying to watch one episode of a new show with my roommate. I am wild!
I spent the weekend hanging out with friends and my boo, playing mini-golf and celebrating my cousin’s birthday by eating too much deep dish pizza. I would give it a 10/10 for sure.
Have a fabulous rest of your week friends!
