Happy Turkey Day!
Am I the only one who feels like a total dad saying “turkey day”? No? Thank god.
I hope you’re all spending time with your loved ones, getting ridiculously full and guzzling wine while dancing to Christmas music in your living rooms.
Here is a list of 5 of the things I’m thankful for this year!
#1: ACTUALLY BEING WITH MY FAMILY FOR THANKSGIVING
Last year around this time I was dragging myself to my store to face the crowds of people who for some insane reason like to leave their homes on Thanksgiving and go to the mall for some early Black Friday shopping. The years before that if I wasn’t working on Thanksgiving, I was getting up early af the next day to go in. This year I’m working for myself and am enjoying the holiday fully without the retail blues setting in. Yay!
#2: MASHED POTATOES…NOT JOKING
You guys I wish I was a better person, I really do, but mashed potatoes are hands down my favorite part of Thanksgiving and I’m not sorry about it. Judge me. I’ll be over here eating straight from the pot with a spoon.
#3: MY CUTE SUPPORTIVE FAMILY
Just to be clear, these are in no particular order. Obviously, I love my family more than mashed potatoes…kind of. My family has been so encouraging and supportive of my dreams and have backed me 100% even when I seemed insane for wanting to quit my great job and go out on my own. They make me feel empowered to keep pushing myself to the next level and I can’t thank them enough.
#4: MY CUTE SUPPORTIVE READERS
Yeah, I’m talking about you! Not only is your support and interest in my weird life truly astonishing to me but it totally warms my heart and motivates me to keep creating amazing content. This community I’ve joined over the past 5 years has become such a big part of my life and I’m truly grateful every day that I’m a part of it.
#5: THIS BEAUTIFUL CITY I CALL HOME
I realize that I’m a lucky lady because I live in a beautiful city that’s super scenic and ideal for blogging. Not to mention that’s essentially always springtime here and there are gorgeous Victorian houses everywhere and the best food. I’m grateful for this life I’ve built for myself here. San Francisco is the best.
