It is officially my favorite time of year because hello, mashed potatoes. I mean, seeing my family is cool too but you know, #priotities.
I put together a super comfy and chic look that I plan on actually wearing to Thanksgiving dinner because 1. These pants are stretchy af (plenty of room for thirds) and 2. I will undoubtedly spend the day in sweatpants so putting on something presentable in the evening will make me feel like I actually have my life together.
I can’t even begin to explain how thrilled I am to be experiencing Thanksgiving fully this year. For the past 6 Thanksgivings, I have either worked on Thanksgiving night (retail is a biotch) or have had to work ridiculously early (like 4am early) the following day to open my store for Black Friday. But this year I get to actually spend time with my family without the dread of angry customers seeping into my subconscious as I chow down on dinner rolls. Yay!
I shot this look at my friend’s house where there were actual fall colors and the acre behind her was the perfect location. Leaves galore aka the most basic fall pictures of all time. Hey, I’m not mad at it.
I got what could only be described as the cutest shoot interruptions ever from her adorable little boy (my favorite) and her cute cat that I am happy to report no longer attacks me every time I walk by him!
I have been saving this gorgeous ginger lace high neck top from Express for two months so I could wear it to Thanksgiving because not only is the color perfect but it’s legitimately comfortable. I love how chic and sophisticated the high neckline is!
These pants may seem subtle and understated but they are in my opinion, definitely the star of the show. If you know me you know that I almost exclusively wear high waisted pants for the obvious reason of being an avid eater. I love the playful bow that cinches the waist which is super flattering. The grommet detailing keeps the look polished and on trend for fall. Most importantly, they have the look of dress pants with the feel of stretchy yoga pants so it’s truly a win-win in my book.
I accessorized with these to die for tassel earrings I snagged at Zara (currently sold out but I found so many similar options linked below it’s actually ridiculous). The gorgeous deep turquoise color really pops against the ginger of the blouse and add a hint of whimsy. Jewel tones for fall are always a good idea. My dainty eye ring is from Katie Dean Jewelry and I totally recommend her for all of your dainty gold jewelry needs (not sponsored, just love).
My glasses are huge and structured and I love it. They’re the gold and blue mirror Becky style from Diff Eyewear and I have been wearing them on repeat since I got them in the mail! Diff is going to have a FABULOUS Black Friday sale so stay tuned for my gift guides this week or check my Instagram to see the sale drop on Friday!
My mini satchel is, of course, a Henny Benz (I’m the only one who calls it that. Note: do not call it that. Lol) favorite that I can’t help but bring out even though it’s old. I’M SORRY. But I have good news! I linked a ton of super similar (like, almost identical, I swear) options below that are equally glam and fabulous.
Finally, say hello to my new favorite booties for fall. Leopard print may very well be my favorite print of all time. It’s just so sassy and chic and glamorous. I truly can’t get enough so when I saw these on my favorite affordable shoe website (that’s you Shoe Dazzle!) I had to snag them. Grab them here for an amazing deal on some fall staples!
What are you wearing for Thanksgiving? Tell me in the comments below!
