Alright so pastels might not be the first thing you think of when you think of fall fashion…but stay with me here.
I love and adore warm earth tones as much as the next fashion blogger but I think we tend to get a little ahead of oursleves when it comes to ditching the rest of the rainbow as soon as the leaves hit the ground.
Pastels are soft and feminie and super romantic. And best of all, they’re unexpected this time of year. We see millenial pink everywhere throughout Spring and Summer and the baby blue epidemic cannot be stopped March-July but I think there is space for these whisical shades all year long.
So when I did some fall shopping at Express a few weeks back and saw this to DIE for trench I had to have her. I have a huge thing with jackets. Some girls are shoe girls. Some girls are obsessed with handbags (okay that might be me too, whatever) but I am a jacket FIEND.
Living in San Francisco it typically always feels like jacket weather and I’m a big believer in that they make the look. Outerwear is my jam.
So chances are you’ll see me styling this trench all winter long. I’m not mad at it.
Alright, let’s get to the good stuff:
SHOP THE LOOK
The Jacket
This gorgeous blue trench is from Express like I mentioned above and I love the fit. I am usually a size small but they only had XS left and I loved it so much I went for it. It is fitted but not too tight so depending on how you prefer your jackets to feel you can size up or down.
The Cami
This flirty pale pinky cami with the criss cross detailing is also from Express and is in my usual size small. Fair warning: wrinkles easily (as you can see). It comes in a bunch of other colors (I also snagged it in black) and is usually on some sort of BOGO promo but today it is only $20! Ah! Get it before it’s gone girlfriend.
The Skirt
This sexy faux leather black skirt with the adorable belted feature and feminie lace detailing is my newest obsession from Zara. I wore this to NYFW and got so many compliments. I’m wearing a size small. Note: does not wrinkle easily I just had it balled up in my suitcase for a week after I got home from New York because I am lazy. Second note: don’t be like me. Get it here!
The Shoes
These floral booties are from my favorite affordable one stop shoe shop Shoedazzle (no judging, thanks) and they are the perfect funky boot for fall that won’t break the bank. Get them here!
The Bag
This show stopping, velvet beaded mini bag is SO gorgeous. And she was only $60 from Zara, exsqueeeeze me?! A total must have. Get it here!
The Accessories
Finally, these funky earrings (which are huge for fall by the way) are also from Zara. I also wore these to NYFW and if I thought that black skirt was a hit these earrings were the star of the show. They received rave reviews! Get them here!
Hope you’re all having a fabulous October so far!
Xoxo,
