If you’re like me then when it comes to Christmas shopping you end up spending way more time (not to mention money) finding things for yourself than you do actually checking people off of your list. It’s just so hard! They make the best stuff during the holidays (they being Sephora, Nordstrom, Express and every other place where the employees know me by name).
But don’t worry! There’s still some time left and I’m here to show you the perfect gift ideas for every lady in your life! You just have to buckle down and commit to actually buying these items as gifts and not for yourself. Or just add two to your cart, whatever works.
I’ve included both high end and low end options so you can find the best Christmas gifts for the best price point. Happy shopping!
FOR THE SKIN CARE JUNKIE
High End:
FRESH MINI MASK SPA ($93)
Admitedly I only know how great this gift is because I personally bought it for myself (with the cashier silently juding me as I told her that no, I would not be needing gift receipt) and am currently using one of the face masks right now. Fresh has some pretty pricey skin care products but they all contain awesome ingriedients and fabulous formulas that give you clean, glowing and clear skin. This gifts is $93 but it has 5 of their top selling masks that range from $50-$100 a piece and each one holds 1 ounce of product which will last you forever! It’s overall an amazing value for some really quality products that any friend who is obsessed with her skin will die over. My personal favorite of the 5 is the Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask. It has a soothing cooling effect while on and once you wash it off your skin feels so soft and nourished!
Low End:
TARTE MAKE A SPLASH HYDRATING SKIN SAVERS ($10)
This is such a great gift option if you don’t want to break the bank but still give your skin care loving friend high quality products. Tarte is obviously a high end brand but they always have great deals on their deluxe size sets that make great options! Plus their Rain Forest of the Sea collection is so well forumlated for dry skin that you’ll instantly start noticing an improvement after just a few days. I love the 4-in-1 setting mist the most because not only does it prime your skin beautifully with hydration, it also refreshes it and keeps it glowy all day if you’re starting to feel a little too matte.
FOR THE BEAUTY GURU
High End:
NARS MIND GAME VELVET LIP GLIDE SET ($45)
I picked this up on a whim while taking a quick stroll through Sephora on a lunch break (so dangerous, I do not recommend) and fell in love with this formula! I’ve always been a huge fan of the Nars Audacious Lipsticks and would even go so far as to say they’re my favorite of all time. So I was definitely curious when I read the “velvet lip glide” part of the title and decided to give them a try. I. Am. Obsessed. They are so smooth, creamy and apply effortlessly. While they certainly don’t have the lasting power of a matte liquid lipstick, they are so comfortable to wear that it makes reapplying after 3-4 hours absolutely worth it. I want to buy every color (just a casual suggestion for anyone wondering what to get me this year).
Low End:
COLORPOP NAUGHTY & NICE SET ($15 EACH)
Colorpop is what affordable makeup dreams are made of. Everything on their site is so inexpensive and makes great stocking stuffers. These naughty and nice sets are perfect for your friends who are makeup addicts and love to get their hands on the newest trends. Both sets come with one Ultra Matte Lip and two eye shadows. And right now they have a special where you can get a free Ultra Matte or Ultra Metallic Lip with every $10 you spend up to $40. I just got distracted and spent $45 so four free lippies for me! Yes, I know I have a problem.
FOR THE GIRL WHO REFERS TO HER HANDBAGS AS HER BABIES
High End:
HENRI BENDEL UPTOWN MINI SATCHEL ($179)
If you know me then you know I’m a Bendel Girl. Any time I make my way down to the Valley Fair location I skip in squealing with glee like a child at Disneyland. My heart starts racing, adrenaline pumps through my veins and I feel completely at home. Sigh. Can I go right now?
I am a huge fan of the Uptown Mini Satchel and think it’s the perfect structured mini bag to add a little extra something to your holiday look. They’re easy to carry because of the size but hold quite a few essentials and are so freaking cute. I am still in love with my brown and black color block mini but right now you can get a few other super cute options on sale for $179 (usually $298). The red one is calling my name but I know that it would also make such a nice gift for someone special who loves the brand or who you just think deserves a special treat this season.
Low End:
SHOE DAZZLE ERIC TOTE ($40)
Some people might say that inexpensive hand bags aren’t actually very cost effective because they aren’t of the same quality as their pricey counterparts but I think that there are a ton of great options online that will allow you to rock the structured, sophisticated styles you love without throwing your wallet out the window. Shoedazzle and Just Fab are two sites I love to check out periodically to see what’s new in their hand bag section. I have several of their bags and because they’re so inexpensive I’ve grown quite the collection of both high end and low end options that allow me to not cause as much wear and tear on them because I switch them out so often. This gorgeous pink top handle has gotten me so many compliments and is super sturdy and holds so much! If you’re looking to get your fashion loving friend something trendy but within your price range then head over to these sites and pick one from their endless options.
FOR THE WOMAN WHO BIRTHED YOU
High End:
LUXURY CANDLES & BATH PRODUCTS (PRICES VARY)
Treat your mom to pure luxury with fancy candles, body wash and face masks that will give her the opportunity to pamper herself at home! I personally am a huge fan of the Henri Bendel candles but the Nest candles you can find at Sephora are all to die for. My personal favorite is the Apricot Tea Scented Candle. It makes the whole house smell like something you would want to drink. Another to die for collection is the bath and body products from Laura Mercier. The coveted Creme de Pistache Wash is amazing and smells so sweet and comforting. Of course this particular wash is usually sold out so a nice alternative is the Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Souffle Body Creme. The container is so cute and the smell will make your mom’s day!
Low End:
A STYLE UPDATE FROM EXPRESS (50% OFF EVERYTHING)
Right now everything at Express in store and online is 50% off! Yes, I have already indulged in plenty of new additions to my closet but I also think this is the perfect opportunity to pick up some great basics for your mom if she loves fashion or alternatively if you’re looking for a nice way to help her update her look. My mom loves the Portofino shirts and was so happy with the deep red I chose for her. I think any of these tops are definitely great options for any age group and are universally flattering.
FOR THE WOMAN WHO BIRTHED THE WOMAN WHO BIRTHED YOU
High End:
ELECTRIC TEA MAKER ($60)
This is definitely for the grandma who likes to be a little fancy and isn’t intimidated by new things in her kitchen. My grandma would not be having it, but I think if you offer to teach yours how to use this ultimately extremely easy and efficient tea maker she’s going to be in heaven! It makes her tea the perfect temperature and lets her get in the loose tea game.
Low End:
PRETTY JEWELRY FROM FRANCESCA’S (BOGO 50% OFF)
Francesca’s always has the prettiest jewelry that comes in such a huge variety of different styles, making it easy to find gifts for anyone and easier to find gifts for yourself. Chloe & Isabel is another great site to pick out unique pieces like the ones I featured above. Now, while my grandma is not a high tech tea kind of girl, she loves jewelry and anything feminine. So my go to gift for her is usually jewelry or a cute sweater (she looks great in pastels). These are some of the pieces I know she would love!
