One of my favorite things about San Francisco is the weather. Contrary to popular belief the city has a spring time quality to it year round and while layers are a necessary (and usually chic) addition to my outfit daily, it never gets too hot or too cold here.
Except for right now.
There’s a brief time period from the end of November through mid January (I believe some of you may refer to this as “winter”) that is BRUTAL. Alright, I’m definitely being dramatic, especially if you compare these temps to those of the East Coast but for this California girl anything below 45 is TORTURE.
So yesterday when I drove across the bridge to visit my parents I bundled up in some comfy winter ready favorites that I thought I’d share with you!
I threw on my favorite comfy day off outfit, pairing dark wash American Eagle jeggings and my super soft Bendel Girl sweater that I got a month ago as a gift for spending way too much money in that store. I layered my favorite fuzzy gray coat over that I got a few seasons back from Nasty Gal. I’ve been experiencing some arthritis (super sexy, I know) so I’ve been avoiding heels and wanted to go with something that wouldn’t get ruined in the rain so my low top converse were the winners!
To keep warm and avoid retched rain hair (not cute) I wore this super cute gray knitted beanie with a nice floral feminine touch. To offset the all cool toned gray vibe I had going on I used my Rivington Mini Convertible Tote to add a pop of red to my look. This bag is one of my favorites (and I have a lot of mini bags) because not only is the structure and color so Parisian and fashion forward, but it also holds a lot of items without being bulky. Bonus: that front pocket actually unzips and becomes a clutch!
