As someone who 1. does not have a real kitchen (I live in San Francisco, sacrifices must be made!) and 2. is not especially experienced in the kitchen anyway I am always searching for creative ways to make something tasty, healthy and easy!

I have been loving these smoothie bowls lately because not only are they so filling but they’re also idiot proof. Just saying!

I spend a lot of time going through Pinterest trying to find new ideas for meal prepping and one that I found that I loved was prepping all of your smoothie ingredients, putting them in ziplock bags and freezing them so when it’s time to whip out the blender all you have to do is dump the contents into it and you’re done!

My favorite combo right now is banana, mango, and strawberry. So fruity and delish! To make it a little more nutritious I add spinach and kale. Those are all of the ingredients I freeze in the individual ziplock bags. Finally to make sure the consistency is just right, after dumping the frozen ingredients in my magic bullet (best infomercial ever, am I right?) I add almond butter, almond milk and a dollop of greek yogurt.

After everything is blended I pour it into a bowl, add my favorite cranberry granola from Trader Joe’s and I’m done! If I have fresh berries in my fridge I’ll also add some on top to make it even more delicious.

Certainly not rocket science but definitely a great way to prep your morning meals and give you back a couple of extra minutes in the morning!
