Is there anything better than twirling your fork around a spoonful of buttery pasta?

That’s how I spent my Sunday and how I wish I could spend every day! The carb addiction is real guys.

My cousin and I got lunch at Chow on Church St and indulged in their always delicious comfort food. Their menu has a wide range of locally sourced, organic options that appeal to every palate.

We sat outside and enjoyed the sunny September weather and ordered two of our favorites; the lamb burger and the linguini with seafood.

This pasta dish is pure heaven on a plate. It is one of my favorite treats and hands down my favorite pasta dish in San Francisco (yes, I said it). I’ve had several different items off the menu (their fish tacos and pizza deserve an honorable mention) but after trying their linguini a few years ago I just don’t have it in my heart to order anything else.

It is a heaping pile of linguini cook al dente, with locally caught shrimp, clams and varying white fish options depending on the season. It is tossed in a mouth watering lemon, butter and garlic sauce that I soak up with bread after I’ve devoured the pasta. It is literally my dream come true.

My cousin had the lamb burger with tzatziki and a side of crispy thin cut fries. The burger was “succulent and perfectly seasoned” according to her and at the rate in which it disappeared from her plate I believe her. I stole approximately 13 of her fries and I’m not sorry.

We ended our meal with my favorite way to end anything; with flourless chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream. This cake. I’m getting so hungry just thinking about it and I keep getting up from my desk to stare longingly into my fridge, willing it to appear. There is just string cheese in there.

The flourless chocolate cake is so moist and decadent, and is balanced out perfectly with airy whipped cream and soft vanilla ice cream. They drizzle chocolate sauce over it just for good measure. I am dead. Someone bring me cake!

If you’re in San Francisco I definitely recommend visiting Chow on Church or their other SF location, Park Chow on Irving to get your next pasta fix. Both locations have friendly, knowledgeable staff and beautiful outdoor seating options.

What is the best pasta dish you’ve ever had? Tell me in the comments!

Xoxo,

She
