Is there anything better than eggs benedict and mimosas after a night of intoxicated shenanigans? Or more often in my case, after a wild night of catching up on Bachelor in Paradise? The answer is NO, no there is not. Everyone loves brunch. Seriously. Try to find one person who doesn’t appreciate getting to sleep in and still being able to order waffles at 1pm.
So, what does one wear to brunch it out (yes, I just typed that and yes, I’m an eighty year old woman) in San Francisco? So glad you asked.
San Francisco is the ideal city for brunch. The weather (contrary to popular belief) is always pretty mild, there are endless options and the city is small enough that meeting your friends in any neighborhood is never too much of a trek (although heading from the outer mission to the marina is pushing it).
I spent the day shooting in the castro (home of Starbelly and Kitchen Story, two delish brunch options) and wore this gorgeous striped maxi dress that I am OBSESSED with. This is a brunch dress. This is even a meet-the-parents-at-brunch dress. Dare I say it, this is a impress-literally-anyone-while-brunching dress. Yeah, it’s that flattering.
I love it because it’s crisp and vaguely nautical without going overboard (pun definitely intended). It also works wonders for short girls like me, with the vertical stripes that make me feel like an off duty model (minus the abs and perfect hair).
I was just about to link this beauty when I learned the sad news that it is currently sold out. So…awkward.
But don’t worry! I would never leave you hanging, I have several super similar options here, here, here and here! You might even like these better!
I kept my accessories minimal but glamorous with my well loved West 57th Lizard Mini Turnlock Satchel (get the same style here and the same color on sale here) and a mix of high end and low end with my favorite simple gold pieces. Create your own arm party at www.henribendel.com like I love to do or get a ton of fun options for less by perusing www.forever21.com for great deals. To get my bangles go here.
My brown wedges have been with me for years. I wore them to my high school graduation so it’s probably safe to say they’re sold out. Here is a super similar option that will give you that same laid back look.

So….this dress is beautiful! I love it and how crisp the colors are! You should definitely make this image pin-able so I can add it to one of my boards!

Thanks Toyin! I posted it on my pinterest account, but let me see what I can do to make it pin-able directly from the image!
