While most people enjoyed Memorial Day by grilling things and drinking things I spent the day running around my store in really uncomfortable shoes thinking about how many calories are in a bottle of wine.
Any Holiday weekend will cause an increase in traffic at any retailer (I have no idea why, if I had an extra day off I would use it to enjoy the outdoors…or sleep) but today was gross. Like, seriously foul. Way too many customers and way too little coverage which leaves me running around like a lunatic and checking my watch every two seconds.
It also means that the inside of my shoes started falling apart which is extremely cute, I’m aware.
To get through a day of people ignoring me and then chasing after me in a huff because no one was available to assist them two seconds later, I wore this ribbed pencil skirt with a flirty front zipper, a feminine mustard eyelash lace top and my favorite (and now useless) open-toed black booties.
I had to wash my hair today because it had been days so up it went into a messy bun and I woke up with 20 minutes to get ready so I reached for my go-to products; the Tartelette in Bloom palette from Tarte and my Melted Lipstick in Melted Chihuahua (Wtf? Who thought that was a good idea?) from Too Faced. Neutral eyes and a mauve lip always work for me.
I know, I need to get it together.
Happy Monday!
Xoxo,
She

Thank you! I’m sure I will 🙂

I had to work just about every holiday when I worked in retail. Only day the store I worked at was closed was Christmas. So I can relate.

Yeah it’s definitely not always fun! But not the worst 🙂
