Can all my Bay Area people agree that this heat is out of control? It’s October!
Despite the fact that I was sweating uncontrollably all day, I still had to take advantage of this beautiful sunny day and pull some warm weather appropriate pieces out of my closet. I wore what could possibly rank as my favorite skirt in my collection–this fun orange and navy plaid skater skirt from Nasty Gal (it’s old, but click here and here for similar options). It’s a really fun color combo and perfect for the season. The leather (or pleather, I should say) detailing on the band gives it the perfect amount of edge. I paired it with a bustier from Victoria’s Secret (get it here) that added a touch of femininity with its delicate lace fabrication. To pull the look together I finally wore this sleeveless trench (get it here) that’s been waiting for its moment in my closet for a few months now. It adds some sophistication to an otherwise very festival-esque outfit. You know I’m all about the floppy hat (get it here) when the time is right and this felt like the perfect day for it. Slipped on my favorite black booties and I called it a day!
How do you dress for fall when it feels like summer?
Xoxo,
She
