I finally got a chance to really play around with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Artist Palette and as always, she does not disappoint. Just like all of her shadows, they’re creamy and easy to blend thanks for a great formula. As you can tell, mine has already gotten some love. Dusty Rose and Phresh are definitely my favorite shadows in the palette. For this look I used Dusty Rose as my crease/transition color, with Beigely on my lid, Coal in the outer v and along my lash lines (creating that really fun pointed look in my inner corner), and finally Phresh in the inner corner. I used the NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk first so when I went in with the yellow it would be brighter. The only shadow I used that didn’t come from this palette is my holy grail brow/inner corner highlight from Makeup Geek in Shimma Shimma. I can’t not use it. I’ve never found anything that compares. I also used a purple pencil liner in my water line and smoked it out with a pencil brush to pull the whole look together. I’ve noticed that without liner in the waterline, this edgy liner look can look a little creepy.
If you want to learn how to create this cool liner effect check out Jaclyn Hill’s video (that’s how I learned it and it’s super easy) here: Bold & Blue Makeup Tutorial
Have any of you gotten a chance to create some cool looks with this palette? What are your thoughts?
